The Pharmacy Technician's at HUC provide the crucial role of ensuring our Services are fully equipped with all the medications, equipment and consumables required to deliver the best patient care; combined with this our Pharmacy Technicians support with the governance & policies that come together to make a safe and efficient patient centered service.
Main duties of the job

- Carry out prescribing audits in line with company policy
- Analysing Prescribing data - Including liaising with multiple clinician groups to provide support and feedback
- Reviewing Drugs Formularies -Review the usage of the drugs within the formulary, implement changes based on updates to guidance and best practice, etc
- Patient Group Directive Reviews - Review the usage of the drugs indicated within the PGD, support our Chief Pharmacist with the implementation of changes in line with best practice guidance and the demands of our patients
- Assume the role of a primary contact for the controlled Drug's Licenses within your area, work closely with our Lead Pharmacist and the Controlled Drugs Officer to ensure that we are compliant with all record keeping and safe custody requirements associated with the Controlled Drugs
- Support with audits and investigations where required
- Work with the Chief Pharmacist and other Pharmacy Technicians to facilitate the timely implementation of NICE & MHRA alerts and updates
- Act on issues reported during the shift to ensure the safe supply of medicines and equipment to our Bases
- Work closely with the local Service Delivery team to ensure that our services run seamlessly (E.g. Service Managers, Practice Managers, Medicines Management Team, etc)
- Carry out audits at our Bases to ensure they are appropriately stocked for their Service

Principle Responsibilities will Include:

- Play a crucial role in the creation and review of the Standard Operating Procedures within the Medicines Management Department
