Job summary
HUC have an exciting opportunity for a Governance Manager to join their existing team of Governance managers leading and managing all aspects of Governance across one of four portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual working within a healthcare setting in either a similar role, operational role with governance experience or a registered professional looking to develop their career in an integrated urgent care setting.
Main duties of the job
At its core, this role manages, supports, and drives
continuous learning and improvement. There are four Clinical Governance Managers across HUC,
each holding a portfolio of services. The post holder(s) will promote, oversee
and be influential in ensuring the consistency of high standards regarding the
identification, investigation, and management of incidents, near misses and
clinical risk.
The post holder will be responsible for embedding and
championing excellence and robust governance processes across HUC to ensure
that patients consistently receive high quality care.
Post holders are responsible for nurturing and maturing
HUCs incident reporting and learning culture ensuring proportionate and robust
responses, with appropriate subject matter expert (SMEs) engagement.

- Demonstrable understanding of the serious incident (SI) framework.
- Knowledge of RCA investigations
- Able to support others and recognise own support needs.
- High level of verbal communication skills
