Job summary
The Resource Planner is responsible for the overall
administration, co-ordination, and resourcing of HUC operational and clinical
rotas. As part of the role you will liaise with staff to ensure rotas are
compliant and escalate concerns to the relevant service managers, whilst taking
accountability to ensure rotas are fully resourced. The job holder will work
closely with the service managers to ensure the service runs smoothly.
Main duties of the job
Proactively ensure that the
rota is resourced and move resources appropriately
Liaise with line managers
regarding the authorisation of annual leave and recording of sickness
Set up new employees on Rota
Master
Work closely with the Service
Manager and highlight any gaps or concerns and highlight vacancies
Management of swaps
Daily reporting of rota
fill/overview
Ensure short term absences are
filled or addressed accordingly and flag to relevant managers
Ensure bookings comply with the
Working Time Directive
Ensure all processes are
adhered to
Using software tools as a
resource tool effectively and accurately
Liaise with payroll regarding
any payroll issues including cancelled shifts, absence, sickness etc.
Maintain master rotas for each
workgroup
Preparation for the
commissioner conference calls regarding rota fill (with the USC Lead Resource
planner and service managers)
Working in a fast paced and
challenging 24 x 7 environment, proactively ensure rotas are resourced to
maximum
potential, ensuring the right resources are allocated to the right place at the
right time.
The role will involve ensuring
all rotas are up to date, accurate and relevant to the live operational plan
and in line
with set budgets.
