Job summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Support and Training Officer to support the implementation of EMIS e-Hub licences and any other IT software and system support to general practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across Havering. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, training, and support to end-users, troubleshooting software issues, and working collaboratively with other members of the Primary Care and Digital teams.

Main duties of the job

Lead the successful implementation of EMIS e-Hub licenses and other procured software to general practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and providing support and training to practices and PCNs, ensuring that end-users are equipped with the knowledge and skills to use the software effectively.

Provide technical support to end-users for EMIS and other softwares, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalating issues to other members of the providers support team when necessary. You will be the go-to person for any software-related issues and will be responsible for ensuring that end-users have a smooth and seamless experience.

Develop and deliver training programs for end-users, both one-on-one and in group settings, to ensure that they are proficient in using EMIS and any other procured software.

Work collaboratively with other primary care colleagues and wider IT/Data leads to ensure that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Stay up to date with the latest EMIS and other software releases and updates and provide guidance to end-users on best practices for software usage.

Provide feedback to designated leads on software usability and user experience. You will have the opportunity to influence the development of new features and functionality based on end-user feedback, and will be responsible for ensuring that the software meets the needs of end-users.

Build good relationships with all stakeholders involved across the Havering Borough Partnership and across NEL ICS, particularly IT and Data leads.

Represent the Federation at internal and external meetings in a professional manner and deputise as required.

Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally

You are required to have highly developed communication skills with the ability to communicate on highly complex matters
