Job summary
TheNursing Associateis a new support role in England that bridges the gap between healthcare support workers and registered nurses to deliver hands-on, person-centred care as part of the nursing team. Nursing Associates work with people of all ages in a variety of settings in health and social care.
Main duties of the job
- Undertaking clinical tasks including venepuncture andECGs
- Supporting individuals and their families and carers when faced with unwelcome news and life-changing diagnoses
- Performing and recording clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations andpulse
- Discussing and sharing informationwith registered nurseson apatient's condition, behaviour, activity and responses
- Ensuring the privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is maintained at all times
- Recognisingissues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults

BGPAs partner organization is Bromley Education and Training Hub (BETH). BETH supports education, training and professional development across primary care in Bromley and beyond.
BGPAs goals are to work strategically with Bromley practices to help secure the best services for patients whilst working together to support member practices in the challenges of a changing NHS.

BGPA will make a positive impact on medical services in Bromley by working closely with One Bromley Partners including NHS SEL ICB, local NHS trusts, local providers and patient groups, to improve the delivery of healthcare to the local population
