Job Summary

To support the Covid-19 Vaccination Management team in the execution of the National Vaccination Programme clinics across the Borough of Bromley, by overseeing the on-site non-clinical leadership of the team.

The role will provide strategic leadership through collaboration with external stakeholders and ensure all elements of governance are achieved, alongside developing initiatives to increase uptake across the population. You will be required to work without supervision to manage the team and demonstrate excellent communication skills to deal with difficult conversations and scenarios that may arise.

Main duties of the job

Successfully operate a politically sensitive environment

Manage patient flow and patient satisfaction

Deal with patient enquiries, cancellation requests efficiently and swiftly ensuring patient satisfaction on site.

Communicate effectively with GPs, HCAs, Covid-19 Vaccination Management, Administrators and Volunteers

Maintain, and transfer confidential patient records on site, ensuring they are stored in an accurate and secure filing system. Adhere to confidentiality as per the company policy.

To ensure rigorous records management and data entry Vaccine Usage Sheet, Patient Walk-In list, Site Attendance, and Central Incident Reporting Log.

Manage vaccine stock holding on site. Record vaccine stock when removed or delivered to other LVS/Pop-Up or Satellite clinics, and to report low stock levels for vaccines, stationery and clinical equipment.

Maintain accurate, clear and legible documentation in all legal records in accordance with the Data Protection Act Pinnacle Offline forms (PSD)

Ability to manage time effectively to work flexibly across various aspects of the programme to effectively meet deadlines Stock Control Report

Have full understanding of EMIS, AccuRx, and Pinnacle system

Have working knowledge of all software and hardware, i.e. photocopier, email, patient information system

Any other duties as required by your line manager to support the smooth and effective running of services.

Work within organisation policies, procedures and guidelines

The Bromley Alliance is already working with the Bromley Community Education Provider Network (CEPN) to improve the training of general practice staff in the Bromley area.

Phase 5 of the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme has begun in Bromley. Initially, the vaccination was prioritised for those aged 65 years old and over, frontline health and social care workers, those at higher risk or who are pregnant, and people who have or live with someone who has a weakened immune system. This now includes adults over the age of 50. Our aim is to ensure that every eligible Bromley resident is offered, if not administered the vaccine.

BGPA works closely with the ICB, and local providers to run LVS Clinics and a Home visiting Service.
