We are seeking a passionate and
experienced Practice Manager to join our GP Practice in Bromley.
Bromleag Care Practice has been awarded an APMS contract to
deliver Primary Care to all residents of Nursing, Residential and Extra Care
Sheltered accommodation in Bromley.
We are seeking a dynamic and
forward-thinking Practice Manager who is appropriately qualified and has good
leadership skills. They should also have strong HR and organisational
abilities, a heart for people and be highly professional. We are looking for a
proven track record of motivation and effective management.
We have a patient list size of 1,800
and use EMIS software.
We are offering a highly competitive salary,
six weeks annual leave pro rata and support from the Executive Management Team.
This is a part-time position, working
4 days per week.
Main duties of the job
In this role your key responsibilities will be:
To ensure delivery of high quality care
to patients of the practice
To provide management for the practice
in terms of
o
Leadership of the practice team
o
Strategic management of the delivery of
the APMS Contract
Overseeing communication with patients
and stakeholders
Overseeing and managing projects
Business development
Financial planning and management
Overseeing service delivery
Ensuring contract delivery and
performance
To represent the practice to patients
and at events external to the practice.
About us
BGPA has been around for 5 years, since January 2015, rapidly growing from providing extra appointments for GP practices, to delivering a wide range of services to Bromley patients and in doing so supporting Bromley General Practice. These services include; Access Hubs, phlebotomy, dermatology, headache, vasectomy, OOH GPs, NHS health checks, chairing ICN MDT meetings, Bromleag Care Practice, supporting Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and supporting the health needs of homeless people in Bromley.
Through our Care Practice and other initiatives, we have been involved in the debate on how to manage frailty in Bromley. We are now seen as a permanent Health Partner in Bromley and are established within the One Bromley framework, as well as being recognised by patients as a high-quality provider of Health Care.

Main Duties:
The Practice
Manager will ensure that the practices physical and financial resources are
managed and maintained for maximum effectiveness including maximising the
practices financial resources.
Managing Access to Services and Developing Patient Services:
The Practice
Manager will be responsible for ensuring that patients are able to access the
services of GPs, Nurses and other team members in accordance with agreed
standards.
Optimising Resources: IT and information:
The Practice
Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the practices IT resources
(hardware and software and data) are effectively managed and maintained to
protect the integrity of patient records and other records and ensure that
resources are used to the best benefit of patient care.
Managing Risk:
The Practice
Manager will ensure that potential risks to the practice and its work,
including those concerning health and safety of individuals, are identified,
addressed and minimised in line with relevant legislation and best practice..
Leading Change:
The Practice
Manager will ensure that changes in the practice are led and managed in an
effective manner to ensure successful outcomes.
Improving Quality:
The Practice
Manager will support the practice in ensuring that patient care is delivered to
the best possible quality.
Training and Developing Others:
The Practice
Manager will ensure that practice staff perform to the best of their ability in
their roles by making sure that appropriate training and development processes
are in place.
Patient Complaints:
The Practice
Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all patient complaints are
handled in accordance with the BGPA Complaints Procedure.
Communicating and Working with Others:
The Practice
Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all methods of communication at
the practice operate effectively to the benefit of patients and team members.

organisation as a whole.
HR Management:

services required to the highest possible standard.
