Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Shere Surgery and Dispensary in East Guildford.
The purpose of the role is to improve patient safety outcomes and promote good practice of repeat prescribing by developing and working to protocols and being actively involved within multidisciplinary teams including those from different health care providers.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have clinical, technical, and administrative responsibilities whilst having supervision from an ever-expanding pharmacy team led by an experienced clinical pharmacist.
The post holder will desirably hold professional registration with GPhC or BTEC/NVQ
Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as good clinical pharmacy knowledge including
terminology.

We are 6 practices that span the rural areas around Guildford as well as central Guildford practices, covering over 50 000 patients. We meet together monthly as practice leads and practice managers to discuss development and plans. Our aim is to provide practices, through the scheme, with additional staff that can support practices and provide better care for our patients.

teams.

medicines by communicating changes to agreed and approved protocols, improving
repeat prescribing processes, promotion of repeat dispensing and online

wasted medicines. The Technician will
work solely at Shere Surgey & Dispensary, a high achieving practice in the
Surrey Hills, just outside Guildford, within a proactive and supportive team.
