Job summary
Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, Barrow Together PCN are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner (Urgent Care) (you must be within 2 years of certificate of completion of training at the start of employment and not have previously held a substantive post).
The role will be to help support and deliver our Urgent Care service. As part of an agreed job plan, the GP will work across 7 of the 8 practices that make up Barrow Together PCN, taking a hands-on role to provide acutely unwell patients with further assessment and treatment.

As agreed in co-operative practice with colleagues, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone, video consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, On Call, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. - General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) - within less than 2 years at start of employment
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Certification of Completion of Training
- Currently on the Performers List and not suspended
- A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner register and not subject to suspension.
- DBS clearance.
- Familiar with EMIS web.
