Job summary

Working within the Training Hub the post holder will be expected to drive the delivery of projects and objectives, whilst developing and implementing processes and systems to manage project information. The post holder will provide accurate, timely and high-quality reports on project progress and outputs against forecasts and strategic aims. The post holder will work with the Strategic clinical lead, Quality assurance lead and Programme leads to identify and overcome risks to ensure successful delivery of projects and the objectives of the programmes. It is expected that this role will support some clinical projects as well as flex and adapt to multiple projects, working to meet demands in the training hub.

Main duties of the job

  • Working in partnership with all key stakeholders to develop, maintain and report on clinical projects within L&SC PCTH
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
  • Structure and manage integrated, multitrack performance databases for digital, print, social, broadcast, and experiential projects
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party organisations within primary care and wider ICB system
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Ensure that equality and diversity issues are recognised, addressed in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures
  • Ensure confidentiality for all stakeholders is always adhered to
  • Flexibility to adapt the role as required due to the evolving nature and growth of the L&SC PCTH as an organisation
  • Ensure values of L&SC PCTH and MBPCC are upheld
  • Able to represent project leads at meetings when deputised
  • Able to present project methodology and outcomes at local/regional meetings

About us

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub (L&SC PCTH) has been developed to drive the NHSE deliverables outlined in both the Common Operational Guidance and Quality Framework. The L&SC PCTH is hosted by Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative (MBPCC).

The primary functions of the L&SC PCTH are to:

  • Develop and expand placement capacity
  • Ensure workforce planning is in place
  • Increase recruitment to Primary Care
  • Recruit and embed new roles
  • Retain the workforce within Primary Care
  • Offer placed-based tariffs

Educational and workforce development opportunities will be provided across the Primary Care workforce which will include:

Job Summary

This is a new and exciting opportunity based within L&SC TH to be working as a member of the core Training Hub Team and in partnership with Locality Training Hub Teams, across Primary Care, Private, Independent and Voluntary Organisations. The post holder will be responsible for project managing key clinical projects across L&SC PCTH which entails supporting the Training Hub to achieve success in meeting key contractual objectives across the L&SC PCTH footprint. This will involve working in partnership with key stakeholders to manage and maintain project delivery. The role will be flexible across all programmes in the training hub and there will be expectation to cross cover across multiple projects to meet the needs of the service.

It is key that the post holder, working in partnership with the Strategic Clinical Lead, delivers high quality service and high performing projects to support and meet the educational and training needs of the primary care workforce across the landscape and Primary Care System.
