Job summary

This role will provide programme management for the organisational development and activities of the Lancashire & South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub.

Main duties of the job

To oversee and manage educational and workforce programmes Ensure project management philosophy and methodologies are implemented To support the Strategic Lead in organisational development and growth of the training hub To support the locality hub leads in terms of locality training hub development To work with all stakeholders within the localities, ICB and Northwest Region to ensure delivery of training hub programmes in an inclusive and collaborative way To represent the L&SC PCTH at local, ICB, regional and national meetings To deputise for the Strategic Lead when required To support the development of governance, policies and procedures To support the delivery and development of educational and workforce developmental programmes at ICB level To oversee and ensure appropriate budget management for specific programmes of work Keep abreast of national and regional NHSE guidance and frameworks Ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics are achieved in terms of training hub reporting to NHSE Gain knowledge of local and regional demographics and General Practice landscape and other stakeholders Support the Strategic Lead in overseeing the work and activities of the team Flexibility to adapt the role as required due to the evolving nature and growth of the training hub Understand the clinical, educational bodies and regulations associated with Health and Social Care professionals working within primary care Optional clinical registration

About us

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub (L&SC PCTH) has been developed to drive the NHSE deliverables outlined in both the Common Operational Guidance and Quality Framework. The primary functions of the L&SC PCTH are to:

Develop and expand placement capacity

Ensure workforce planning is in place

Increase recruitment to Primary Care

Recruit and embed new roles

Retain the workforce within Primary Care

Offer placed-based tariffs

Educational and workforce development opportunities will be provided across the Primary Care workforce which will include:

Apprenticeships

New to Practice (Fellowships)

Continual Professional Development

Leadership Development

Ad hoc opportunities offered by NHSE
