Job summary

To manage the successful mobilisation and subsequent operational management of the Community Diagnostic Centre spoke sites, a flagship NHS investment programme.

Main duties of the job

Project Mobilisation:

  • Oversee the mobilisation phase of the Diagnostic Centres, ensuring resources are appropriately deployed.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the set project scope, goals, and deliverables are met.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved and flagging potential issues.

Operational Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations post-setup, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

  • Implement and maintain efficient systems for appointment bookings, patient communications, and feedback mechanisms, via the administration team.

  • Work closely with clinical leads to deliver safe, effective and caring services.

  • Participate in the on-call rota

Hours: 37.5 (Full Time)

Job Purpose:

  • To manage the successful mobilisation and subsequent operational management of the Community Diagnostic Centre spoke sites, a flagship NHS investment programme.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Mobilisation:

  • Oversee the mobilisation phase of the Diagnostic Centres, ensuring resources are appropriately deployed.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the set project scope, goals, and deliverables are met.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved and flagging potential issues.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations post-setup, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Resource Management:

  • Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including staff and equipment.

  • Monitor the operational budget, coordinating with the finance department to ensure adherence.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and guide the Diagnostic Centres team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of the team.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure the Diagnostic Centres continuously adhere to NHS standards and regulations.

  • Oversee and maintain quality assurance processes.

Site Travel:

  • Regularly travel between the Heysham and Barrow sites to ensure alignment in service quality and operational procedures, and to maintain manager visibility, alongside Directors and senior leaders within MBPCC.
