Job summary

We are currently looking for qualified Physician Associate (PA) to join within Malvern Town Primary Care Network. This exciting opportunity has arisen for someone trained as healthcare professional to work under the supervision of doctor as part of a medical team. Malvern Town PCN is mainly looking for a Physician Associate to support patients in residential care and / or nursing homes, support the wider Care Home Team, this includes, however, not exclusive to GPs, community nursing team, pharmacy team and being an integral member of the wider MDT.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must need to be healthcare professional, who works directly under the supervision of a doctor as part of the medical team. Usually generalist with broad medical knowledge but strong interest to develop expertise/specialism in a particular field.

The main responsibilities associated to this role include direct patient contact through assessment, examination, investigation, diagnosis and treatment. Physician Associate will have an important role in order to support delivery of Network Contract DES Services.

  • Understand the importance of evidence-based practice
  • Ability to record accurate clinical notes
  • Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding when to refer to GPs
