Job summary

The Data Analyst will work with practices across the Malvern Town Primary Care Network (PCN) consisting of 4 practices, managing the data integrity of care recording to ensure that all patient care activities are captured in the system. We aim to offer and deliver excellent, safe, co-ordinated, high quality patient care. Continuously learning, evolving and implementing new models of care, to create inclusion and reduce inequalities and improve outcomes. The Data Analyst will work alongside the Clinical Director and PCN Management team, assisting with ensuring data and analysis are at the forefront of Primary Care and Integrated Services. The Data Analyst will work within the 4 practices, analysing and updating practice staff on data outcomes and areas of focus. This is to assist the organisation in finding opportunities where technology can bring about improvement and allow strategic goals to be achieved. Some of the key duties of the role will involve completing patient searches, reporting, template development, data collection and analysis and information governance.

Due to Enhanced Access, you may be required to work one Saturday per month depending on business needs, time of which will be given back to you in lieu.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibilities are to:

Ensuring that all EMIS templates in GP surgeries are set up with the most up-to-date clinical codes to ensure that activity is successfully captured

Work closely with the ICS Primary Care Analytics Team to form part of a wider General Practice Analytical Network, attending regular training days/meetings across Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Managing, analysing, and reporting on EMIS practice and patient data

Collaborating with the PCN Clinical Director in agreeing analytics workstreams

Analysing and reporting against DES, LES and prevalence specifications to ensuring successful delivery for PCN Contracts

Increasing usage of EMIS through enhancing and making the systems more efficient at a Practice and PCN level

Developing consent requests for PCN data for Practices or asked for by other organisations

Overhauling existing and developing new templates, protocols, and concepts and making these accessible and appropriate for a multidisciplinary team linking with PCIT

Processing and recording data information in accordance with NHSE, Federation, Trust, PCN and Practice Protocol

Fulfilling CCG reporting requirements within the remit of SW Healthcare and other relevant stakeholders

Consulting Key Stakeholders in the remit of data quality and offering support and advice where needed

This is an exciting role and an opportunity to make a unique and measurable impact on a transforming digital patient care, which will support Integrated services. The successful postholder will be responsible for building high trust relationships with Local EMIS Teams, Practice based Clinicians and Community based Clinicians as well as Public Health England. The successful postholder will develop EMIS templates and protocols, document templates and pathways ensuring a consistent approach to working across PCN Integrated Services.
