Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wellbeing Team Leader to join our Day Services provision. This role will be a permanent position, working flexibly across five days per week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will oversee a team providing a complementary therapy and wellbeing service that offers holistic and individual tailored care to patients and carers both at the hospice building and within the wider Weston Hospicecare catchment area in the community.

The post holder will have previous management and leadership experience and come with an understanding of the challenges facing charities in the current climate.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the use & effects of complementary and holistic therapies
  • Demonstrate an understanding & appreciation of palliative care
  • Knowledge and understanding of other complementary and holistic therapies
  • Able to work as a team member in a multi professional setting
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise own work and the workload of team members
  • Able to develop & implement policies, procedures & protocols for complementary and holistic therapies

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a caring/health care environment
  • Knowledge of services provided by Weston Hospicecare
  • Research and presentation skills
  • Evidence of supporting other staff individually & in groups
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of working with volunteers

  • Registered and insured with the appropriate professional bodies
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in order to maintain registration
  • Minimum 2 years post registration experience
  • Previous team management experience/leadership qualification

Desirable

  • Professional qualification in care/health field
  • Qualification in palliative care aromatherapy
