St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity providing help, advice and support to people in West Suffolk and Thetford in the final chapters of their life, who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. Our service are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too. They include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Domestic Aide to join our Facilities Team on a Permanent Contract.

Our domestics provide an essential service to ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained within the Hospice. St Nicholas Hospice Care is a successful and much-loved charity serving the local area of West Suffolk and Thetford. Every year we support nearly 2,000 local people, delivering care across multiple settings. Our services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too, and include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help.

  • Previous experience of commercial cleaning (minimum of 6 months)

  • Ability to work unsupervised and independently
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedule but use initiative to vary schedule where it is necessary

  • Committed to maintaining high standards of service
  • Some flexibility to work additional hours and to attend department meetings/provide cover for colleagues
  • Basic Level of Literacy and Numeracy
