Job summary
As a GP Federation we work closely with our local Acute Hospitals and provide a GP in the Minor Injuries Unit at Caterham Dene Hospital, and the Emergency Department at East Surrey Hospital. We have 2 years’ experience in developing successful rotational and split posts for Physician Associates between SASH wards and Primary Care Network roles specialising in Frailty and Urgent Care / Acute Medicine. We are now looking to expand this further by employing Physician Associates through ABC who will work under the supervision of the GP in ED / MIU and also gain valuable experience in other elements of the emergency pathway within SASH including paediatric ED. This role also has the option to be split with working in primary care within a local GP surgery and is suitable for new graduate PAs or those wishing to pursue a portfolio career.
The posts will be fully supported by the KSS School of Physician Associates and there will be the opportunity to take part in a fully funded GP Preceptorship incorporating primary care education and access to mentoring. The post holders will also work closely with other PAs in the ED / MIU and benefit from shared learning from the wider team of PAs working at SASH.
