Job summary
ABC are
developing a new eHub service to provide support in managing online
consultations, using eConsult software, within general practice across Horsham,
Crawley, and Mid Sussex.
We will be
rolling the service out to 21 practices starting in July, with the final
practices going live in September 2022.
There will be opportunities for additional practices to join the service
over time.
This role of a Prescribing ANP is to provide ANP support to ABC’s new eHub service, set up to sift, triage and
manage online consultations on behalf of our practices using a provider called
eConsult. eConsult allows patients to
submit symptoms or requests to their practice electronically by completing an
online form. eConsult also offers self-help information, signposting to other
services and a symptom checker.
Hours: Full time / Part time (Service
coverage hours between 0900-1700 – Monday to Friday)
Base: Will work for all of ABC’s PCNs from
Clair Hall, Haywards Heath, West Sussex with scope/potential for working from
home at a later date and once fully trained
Contract
length: 12 months
(will be reviewed for extension dependant on service requirement)
Main duties of the job
The role
will be working within our eHub team across our Sussex PCNs. This will be a patient facing role, although
we do not anticipate face to face contact will be required. Standardised
processes and protocols will be in place whilst the exact service delivered may
vary between PCNs.
Reporting to the Head of Service and GP Clinical Lead for clinical
supervision, this role will be part of a team consisting of GPs, Clinical
Pharmacists, skilled administrators and the potential for other AHPs, working
both at physical locations and remotely for the new eHub service.
As part of the clinical duties in both roles, the successful candidates
will join the multi-disciplinary staff in providing comprehensive care and will
work with patients, carers, and families.
The
post holder is a Prescribing ANP who acts within their professional boundaries,
supporting and working alongside general practice. In this role they will be
supported by a GP who will develop, manage and mentor them.
