Vaccination Roving Site Administrator

Job summary

To provide efficient and effective operational support to Alliance for Better Care CIC Roving Vaccination team.

Main duties of the job

  • Compile lists of patients from practices in the main contact list.
  • To book patients for housebound visits, and ensure all necessary information is recorded for the team on the day.
  • To liaise with Care Homes and ensure all procedures are completed prior to the visit.
  • Update the main list post-vaccination with any events from the previous day.
  • Prepare all the day sheets for the teams ahead of the day of visits.
  • Be familiar with ABC Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure strict data and patient record confidentiality.
  • Maintain, request and transfer confidential patient records, ensuring they are stored in an accurate and secure filing system. Adhere to confidentiality as per the site’s policy.
  • Assist with data collection activities by ensuring records are up to date. Maintain accurate, clear and legible documentation in all legal records in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Work within organisation policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Manual handling of patient records and equipment (i.e. Roving data sheets) throughout the day on a frequent basis.

The role is guided by standard operating procedures, good practice, and established precedents and an understanding is required of what results or standards are to be achieved. A Clinical Service Manager will be available for reference and support.

The post holder will be working jointly in a controlled and uncontrolled environment. The post holder will be occasionally exposed to strong smells and may be exposed to emotionally distressing situations, aggressive and violent patients.
