Vaccine Site Coordinator

Alliance for Better Care Ltd.

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Since early December 2020, ABC have led the way in mobilizing the COVID-19 vaccination programme in East Surrey, Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex. Across Mid Sussex we now run 5 vaccination centres, based in Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Crawley & Horsham, as well as a number of pop-up and mobile units. These sites were set up and are manned by current ABC Team members, and we now need to grow the team to ensure the programme continues to be a success as we plan for the Autumn 2022 vaccination programme.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and resourceful individuals to manage the vaccine sites on a day-to-day basis and, with the support of the central team, ensure that all eventualities are planned for and we offer an efficient and enjoyable patient experience.

Due to the nature of vaccine availability post holders will need to be flexible in the hours they work with the potential for both evening and weekend working and with often limited notice of when a run of days of vaccinating will start.

For this reason, the job is renumerated on an hourly basis with shifts booked via our rota system but paid through PAYE payroll.

Salary: £20 per hour, minimum of 24 hours per week

Tenure: Zero hours contract until March 2023

Base: Site based at any ABC Vaccine site in Sussex although staff will be appointed to work predominantly with a particular site

About us

Alliance for Better Care CIC is a pro-active, forward-thinking GP federation that unites 47 GP practices across 12 Primary Care Networks in Surrey and Sussex. We support our primary care colleagues to transform how healthcare is managed within the community.

Our strength lies not just in our ability to connect all areas of primary care, but also in the way we support and strengthen the role primary care plays in the rest of the system. We are the glue that helps bind them together. We work with – and listen to – our GP practices, PCNs, hospitals, community organisations and the third sector. These vital partnerships ensure that, together, we deliver a truly integrated approach that offers the support and expertise needed to effectively serve our communities. As a membership organisation, we have the ability to share our expertise at scale, and we’re happy to do so.
