The Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Operations Manager to work alongside the operational Service Manager to implement, develop and lead our new Birmingham MHSTs (Wave 12).
The service will be made up of 6 Mental Health Support Teams and a small specialist team adding value in such areas as digital intervention and equalities and engagement.
About the team
Compass Birmingham MHST (Wave 12) is a new early intervention and preventative mental health and emotional wellbeing service. The service delivers evidenced based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
The service is part of the national MHST Programme, which has been commissioned following the Transforming Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Care Provision: A Green Paper (2017).
Main duties of the job
You will be a values-driven (integrity, valuing each individual, solution focused, consistent and reliable) leader with a passion for supporting children, young people and families mental health and wellbeing. You will also have:
- A core Professional Mental Health Qualification (e.g. nursing, psychology), or equivalent
- Post graduate training in CBT or willingness to undertake
- Supervisory qualification, or willingness to complete Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision
- At least 3 years experience of working in a relevant children and young peoples community setting
Due to the nature of the role there is a need to travel to individual schools, which will require a driving license and access to a vehicle (for individuals who cannot drive due to a disability, we can consider accessibility options i.e. provided via Access to Work etc).
