Main duties of the job
The role combines old fashioned verbal and written communications skills with cutting edge digital marketing know-how. It is to develop and distribute content, including social media, news stories and marketing assets, that promotes who we are and what we do. And to help develop and promote a range of online, digital and accessible engagement methods.
It involves working with operational leaders, practitioners and marketing and communications colleagues to build Compass profile in both the local and national context. We see this role as central to our mission, expanding our digital presence and the accessibility of digital resources.
Its largely home based but with an expectation for occasional travel across England which may also include overnight stays. The post is advertised as full time but some flexibility exists to offer between 30 and 37 hours per week.

- Excellent copywriting, proof-reading and editorial skills.
- Proven experience in supporting the delivery, development and evaluation of high quality and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Strong social media skills/experience; ability to monitor and build engagement using both paid and organic techniques.
- Demonstrable skills in graphic design, illustration, and photo and video production and editing using the Adobe Suite.
- Ability to create and analyse engaging marketing emails using Mailchimp (or similar).
- Competent use of WordPress CMS to update and develop service webpages.
- Ability to use analytics tools to create meaningful reports, including Google Analytics.
- Skilled use of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Experience of organising successful events and campaign launches.
