The role will support CYP and families providing extra capacity for early intervention support within all our Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing (MH&EW) services and Mental Health Support Teams (MHST).

Main duties of the job

You will work autonomously under indirect supervision within multidisciplinary teams. This involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care for the child or young person. This role will be fully remote. Interventions, including group work will be delivered through digital means with children, young people and families.

You will work collaboratively with young people and their families incorporating the use of outcome measures for the intervention provided.

You will engage in activities  that will utilise your skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild mild/moderate emotional wellbeing needs remotely and support children and young people who present with more  severe difficulties rapidly access more specialist services.

You will hold a core professional and/or clinical qualification e.g. EMHP, CWP, PWP, Senior EMHP alongside post graduate experience working with children and young people and an understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network with other agencies as central to the role.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Core professional and/or clinical qualification e.g. EMHP, CWP, PWP, Senior EMHP.
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid trained.

Experience

Essential

  • 2 years working therapeutically with children and young people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues
  • Knowledge of capacity and consent issues including Gillick competence
  • Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others
  • Experience of working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Experience of working with anxiety disorders
  • Experience of working with affective (mood) disorders
  • Experience of the delivery of specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people or their families.

  • Experience of working remotely and virtual delivery of evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience of monitoring and recording outcome measures for childrens emotional wellbeing
