We are looking for a committed marketing and communications professional able to use their written and digital skills to publicise and support our work with children, young people and families and to support the development and promotion of a range on online, digital and accessible engagement methods.

Main duties of the job

Were seeking a highly motivated marketing and digital communications all-rounder, full of ideas, who wants to use their multimedia talents to improve other peoples lives. We need a proven performer to prepare, produce and promote our public health campaigns and initiatives.

Its a busy, varied, exciting and truly inspiring role which requires project management skills, high standards and team work. Youll see the work you do have a direct, positive impact on the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families in Birmingham.

The role combines old fashioned verbal and written communications skills with cutting edge digital marketing know-how. It is to develop and distribute content, including news stories and marketing collateral, that promotes who we are and what we do.

It involves building our new service profile to ensure all schools and families are aware of the support we provide. Also, expanding our digital presence and the accessibility of digital resources. We see this role as central to our mission.

  • Previous relevant experience of successfully working in a marketing or communications role
  • Excellent copywriting, proof-reading and editorial skills.
  • Proven experience in supporting the delivery development and evaluation of high quality and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrable skills in graphic design, illustration, and photo and video production and editing using the Adobe Suite.
  • Strong social media skills/experience; ability to monitor and build engagement using both paid and organic techniques.
  • Ability to create and analyse engaging marketing emails using Mailchimp (or similar).
  • Competent use of WordPress CMS to update and develop service webpages.
  • Ability to use analytics tools to create meaningful reports, including Google Analytics.
  • Collection and visualisation of service user feedback and other relevant data.
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Experience of organising successful events and campaign launches.
