We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Therapy Assistant to join our Therapies Team and drive forward Royal Trinitys vision and values to ensure safe and outstanding care for our patients, helping them to make the best of every moment.

Our team of specialist palliative care Therapists (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Complementary Therapy) provide holistic and expert support to patients with progressive and life-limiting illness and those close to them. This role will be important in the daily management of clinical and non-clinical activities within the inpatient, outpatient and community setting.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the Therapies Team, (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Complimentary Therapy) in the daily management of clinical and non-clinical activities within the In-Patient Unit (IPU), Outpatients, and the Community
  • The post holder will assist the Therapists to maintain a high standard of patient care by undertaking delegated clinical programmes of management, administrative and equipment duties to support the functioning of the department.
  • To assist therapists with patients treatment either jointly or to carry out treatment programmes following therapists assessment, this may include community visits.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy environment within clinical and non-clinical areas
  • To help with the purchase, maintenance, and safe storage of equipment

Essential

  • Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • National Care Certificate or agreement to complete

Desirable

  • NVQ in Health & Social Care Level 3 or equivalent
  • Background of a Health & Fitness Courses completed or Science Degree
