Peripatetic Positive Behavioural Support Practitioner
Norfolk based -covering other South-East services including Kent (hybrid working and travelling to our supported living services)
Permanent, Full Time(37.5 hpw)

We have a brilliant job opportunity for you to join our Transforming Care South services, where youll deliver Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) to our customers and their teams.We have a new service in Norfolk, and an established service in Kent which will benefit from PBS specialist input.
As our PBS practitioner youll be leading on functional behavioural assessments, plans and interventions, working collaboratively with our customers, their families, clinical and operational colleagues.Youll support the transition of customers into their homes, some who may display behaviours that challenge, planning for their move and identifying risks.
Youll use your experience and brilliant skills to ensure all practice is evidence based and person led. Youllprovide PBS advice and coaching to your colleagues on the day-to-day support required, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and maximising independence.
Main duties of the job
About you
Youll have a National Qualification Level 5 or equivalent, ideally in a relevant field (e.g. a Foundation degree, first year degree, NVQ level 5 Registered Managers Qualification) PLUS a recognised post-graduate qualification in Positive Behavioural Support/Applied Behaviour Analysis at a minimum of a Level 5, e.g. BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma in PBS.
Youll have experience working as a PBS practitioner supporting adults with complex presentations, e.g., learning disability, autism, mental health problems, behaviours that challenge and trauma.
Youll have up to date registration with the UK-SBA and have evidence of self-led continued professional development.
Experience of holding a caseload across a wide geographical region, with evidence of effective caseload management and prioritisation
You'll have experience in delivering physical intervention training, or a willingness to upskill to become a trainer with us!
You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work, with business insurance, as you'll be required to travel to our customers. Of course, well pay your mileage expenses for work use!
An Enhanced Disclosure Check will also be required for this role and the costs of this will be met by us.

Youll be working with Greg our Nurse Consultant, whose best friend is Rolo his German Shepherd! Were a team who love our dogs, including Denise (our Senior Peripatetic PBS Practitioner) who has a golden retriever named Holly. Denise will support you and provide your clinical supervision too.
