Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to add to our increasing team of Physician Associates (PAs) to join our Primary Care Networks in South Manchester. We have 3 vacancies in practices in Burnage, Chorlton and Wythenshawe.
The role will work within a practice team and run their own consultations, ensuring the appropriate history taking, examination, diagnosis and management plans are formulated.
The PCN populations are diverse and vary in demographics which makes working in general practice in the area very interesting and no day is the same.
The salary is the equivalent to AfC Band 7 but can not be offered as Agenda for Change and dependent on experience. NHS Pension can be offered. Usual working pattern is Mon-Fri 37.5 hours for a full time position (pro-rata for part time).

Main duties of the job
As a PA you will
be acting within your professional boundaries, providing care for patients from
initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and
evaluation of their care, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Clinical
and educational supervision will be provided by designated senior medical
personnel.
The
PA will also support Safeguarding of adults
and children including domestic abuse and working with partner agencies to
ensure holistic support and referring/signposting to appropriate support.

The post holder will be well supported within the PCNs as there are currently over 20 physician associates already working within South Manchester who provide a supportive network for each other.
