Job summary

Due to expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Bid Manager/Writer to lead on specific Competitive Tendering and Bidding processes on behalf of the Social Interest Group (SIG) and subsidiaries. You will write high quality and competitive tenders, understand current market trends, and support colleagues within the business development team!

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for all elements of the bidding process including, identification of opportunities, writing competitive bids within strict deadlines.
  • Lead on the development of specific bid responses, including bid structure, content, and responses.
  • Effectively build strong relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management in the bidding process, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop and manage an internal network of subject matter experts and bring them into the development and writing process as required.
  • Attend relevant events such as market engagement events in strategic areas.
  • Host internal proposal briefings and liaise with operations teams to develop compelling method statements for tenders.
  • Chair development meetings with stakeholders.
  • Admin duties will vary.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Bid Manager/Writer to lead on specific Competitive Tendering and Bidding processes on behalf of the Social Interest Group (SIG) and subsidiaries. The role involves:

  • Writing of high-quality competitive tenders and proposals, to internal and external deadlines
  • Understanding the current market and feeding information to guide strategic planning
  • Supporting colleagues within the Business Development Team to develop products, funding bids or proposals to grow the work of the SIG

This role is hybrid/remote, with head office location at Islington. We are open to offering a full time or part time position.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an adaptable, and highly motivated individual who has a passion for writing. Ideally, you enjoy working as part of a friendly, close-knit team. You will have excellent and written English skills with attention to detail. If you have experience in the same or similar field, we want to hear from you!

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

  • Track record of securing new or retaining existing contracts
  • Bid/proposal writing experience
  • Bid Management experience
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft
  • Understanding of tender portals

What we would like, but not essential:

  • Understanding of health, social care, and criminal justice sectors
  • Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
  • Coaching skills, to motivate and pass knowledge onto others
