Main duties of the job
Working within our skilled Practice Education Team, you will maintain and further develop clinical training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed educational strategy. This will include supporting clinical theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust clinical competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs. In addition, you will work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of competency and confidence. You will therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.
A qualified paediatric or dual registered nurse with proven experience in education or teaching, you must have up to date experience with a range of clinical skills including invasive and non-invasive respiratory support; IV and central line management; and experience of nursing care at end of life. Excellent interpersonal skills and good presentation skills are also important.

people from 0-35 years. The post holder will also be expected to lead and
manage the team during clinical shifts, providing a high standard of holistic
care to children and young people with a variety of complex health needs.
Effective communication skills are required to support children, young people
and their families during their stay in the hospices. The hospices provide care
over a 24-hour period and the post holder is expected to work flexibly across
all shifts.
