Job summary

Woking and Sam Beare Hospice In Patient Unit is looking for caring, passionate and enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our amazing team.

At our hospice, we provide exceptional care to patients and their families through some of the most challenging times of their lives. We support our patients in our In Patient Unit, at home plus in our Wellbeing Centre. Our charity specialises in palliative and end of life care for patients with complex and life limiting illnesses who live in North-West Surrey.

We ensure high quality care with great staff to patient ratios, making sure everyone feels cared for and valued. Our warm, clean and homely environment helps patients and families using our services feel safe and comfortable.

We also invest in your growth. Our education team offers excellent training sessions and support staff development through courses and university programs.

  • CNS supported and developed to join our medical team as a Non-Medical Prescriber/ANP

We are looking for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individual with key qualities:

  • Experience of palliative caring for patients in health or social care settings is desirable but not essential as we can offer support through our training and development programme

Additional Requirements:

  • Care Certificate or NVQ 3 (QCF Level 3 or equivalent) qualification or a willingness to work towards this.

This role is Band 2-3 depending on experience and qualification. All successful candidates employed into Band 2 are encouraged to complete the Care Certificate within 6-12 months of employment, which would offer the opportunity to develop into the Band 3 role.
