Job summary
Are you a doctor with experience in General Practice, General Medicine, Oncology, or Geriatrics looking to make an impact in palliative medicine? Our hospice is seeking a dedicated individual to join our multidisciplinary team, bringing their expertise to our beautiful facility in the heart of Northwest Surrey.
This rewarding role offers doctors the opportunity to provide compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The successful applicant will work closely with our clinical teams to provide high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring that patients with life-limiting illnesses live life to the fullest and die with dignity, both in our inpatient unit and out in the community.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Care: Provide high-quality, holistic care to patients and their families, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Collaboration: Work alongside our consultants and multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated palliative care services.
Education and Development: Work with the Clinical & Education Teams to support the development of clinical practice through education. This includes the assessment of clinical skills and competence, as well as the development and review of clinical policies and guidelines.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality initiatives and clinical projects, enhancing your career while contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team and with external healthcare providers within the Northwest Surrey Alliance and beyond.
About us
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a person-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to people with life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey (which has a population of approximately 360,000 people). The Hospice also provides support to the carers and families of our patients.
This care is provided without charge and is delivered within the community, at our patients homes, as well as in our 20 bedded inpatient unit and Wellbeing Centre located in Woking. Our holistic approach is designed to cater for patients physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. The multidisciplinary Team comprises of Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Paramedic Specialists, Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, Complementary Therapists and Counsellors.
The Hospice works in partnership with NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Partnership, the Northwest Surrey Alliance, local Hospitals and Health and Social Care Community providers in order to deliver care on behalf of, and complementary to, that provided by the NHS.
