Job summary
One Health is looking for a fellowship-trained spinal surgeon or neurosurgeon to support and grow the One Health Group Spinal Team. This is a flexible position on a self-employed basis but can consider work on a full-time basis. The applicant must be happy to travel. The following criteria will need to be met in order to be considered:
- You could be from a neuro-surgical or orthopaedic sub-speciality but must be on the specialist register (orthopaedic or neurosurgery)
- You should be in a substantive NHS post for at least six months. If you are not in a current NHS post, you should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least three years before leaving the NHS (for any reason, except GMC restrictions)
- You should be on the GMC register and have no hearings or restrictions
- You should have sub-specialist qualification relevant to your speciality, for example FRCS (neuro-surgery), FRCS (orth)
Main duties of the job
This role will involve assessing and operating on patients referred to One Health, via the NHS
e-Referral System. Appointments will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites with a focus on Lincolnshire and West Yorkshire, with operations taking place within a range of independent sector hospitals.
