Job summary

This is an integral post covering two of our St Davids Hospice sites at Bangor and Holyhead. St Davids Hospice inpatient unit in Holyhead has 4 beds and Hafan Dewi Sant in Bangor runs various day therapy/wellbeing clinics.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to our community.Based in Conwy, Gwynedd and Môn, St Davids Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family. This is an exciting time to join St Davids Hospice Team.

We are currently growing our care team, moving from a traditional day hospice model to a well-being, drop in centre approach to help us reach and support more people. We are looking for someone who can join our small team and make a big difference. Current services include Inpatient beds at both Llandudno and Holyhead, and wellbeing/Drop-in centres in Llandudno and Bangor. There are nurse led clinics, with the addition of support from physiotherapy, occupational therapy, counsellor, social worker, arts facilitator and complementary therapies.

The Bank Physiotherapist role will be influential in ensuring that the Hospice meets the demand from its community.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Offer treatment topalliative patientswithinin-patientsunitand Day Therapy.
  • Support ongoing patient focussedtherapeuticgroupsempowering patientsto engage withAdvanced Care Planning inHafanDewi Bangor
  • Work alongside the Allied Health professionals.
  • Bean integral part of the Clinical Services Team fullyparticipatingto provide high quality, holistic care.
  • Have the ability and understanding of dealing with sensitive patient/carer issues.

Based in North West Wales St Davids Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family.
