Main duties of the job
The role entails being ultimately responsible for all day-to-day management of decisions and line management of the management team. The role will cover both strategic requirement as well as health and safety, risk management, clinical governance, financial and business responsibilities.
Importantly the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for implementing SoliHealth's long term and short-term strategy incorporating the clinical governance framework of the practice and risk management. They will communicate on behalf of the organisation to shareholders, employees, CQC and other stakeholders, patients, and the public.

Importantly the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for implementing Solihealths Clinical Governance framework and risk management of the practice. The Senior Operations Manager will support communication on behalf of the organisation to shareholders, employees, CQC and other stakeholders, patients and the public.
The Senior Operations Manager will support new business development, engagement and communications with practices and the wider system, developing and approving strategies to meet partner, employee and patient needs.
Main duties & responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of an infrastructure that supports our current services and realises our future ambitions with the support of the Board
Contribute to the development of Solihealth strategic vision
Contribute to the review of annual budget setting, future capital expenditure budgets/proposals and work within these remits
Ensure effective governance and oversight of our service delivery
Support the development of, manage, and influence long-term relationships with our own teams, shareholders, commissioners and other stakeholders
Oversee development of a communication and engagement strategy
Develop, implement, and embed an effective practice operational plan and staff development plan
Line manage clinical and administrative staff
Co-ordinate the recruitment and selection of all service staff in line with Organisational Policies.
Oversee the day-to-day operations at Solihealth and services, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
Lead the provision of operational support and assistance to Solihealth, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the operational functions of the organisation
Maximise income through effective and accurate operating standard of all clinical services
Lead, support and develop the delivery of Planned and Unplanned services and future at-scale programmes to ensure income is maximised without compromising safety and patient care
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards and Health & Safety across Solihealth
Oversee relevant operational policies and procedures, ensuring all are up to date and compliant
Oversee the management of all patient services, ensuring Solihealth maintains compliance with its NHS contractual obligations
Support the Medical Director in the management of complaints and significant events
Oversee the management of the premises, including health and safety aspects such as risk assessments and mandatory training
Liaise with HR to ensure all staff have the appropriate level of training to enable them to carry out their individual roles and responsibilities effectively
Represent Solihealth Board and Clinical leads at internal and external meetings
Support the Solihealth Board and Clinical Leads in the execution of duties
Produce regular reports to the Solihealth Board on the progress of operational projects in achieving their targets against KPIs
Assist in the production of information for clinical audit as required
Oversee research projects in association with the Solihealth Board
Oversee reporting to the ICB and external stakeholders to meet contractual obligations
Participate in significant event auditing meetings, leading sessions when required and ensuring that learning outcomes are addressed and followed through with the appropriate staff
Oversee all operational systems, including the telephone system, appointments system, messages, visits, results, prescribing systems, access, incoming mail, scanning, etc., and ensure they function at an optimum level at all times for all projects
Main governance responsibilities:
Be responsible on a day to day basis for the Governance Programme and action plans in line with Solihealth strategy, policies and requirements to meet Solihealth & CQC standards
Hold responsibility for the management of the Clinical Governance system GP Team Net.
Create and maintain a policy register and ensure policies are reviewed and updated as necessary
Promote and facilitate the development of effective integrated governance risk management and assurance within Solihealth Projects
Provide advice and contribute to solutions in relation to integrated governance
Responsible for ensuring all information processed for patients and staff is kept confidential, accurate and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and Caldicott policy
Manage the Solihealth risk register, ensuring risk assessments are conducted, documented and reviewed regularly
Collate all data in regard to Core Quality Markers and produce quality management reports for presentation to the board
Ensure Solihealth CQC compliance with all Key lines of enquiry (KLOE)
Liaise with Data Protection Officer for Solihealth, offering support and guidance on the General Data Protection Regulation
Investigate and analyse incidents with Solihealth and support investigations and resolutions
Maintain a record of complaints and submit complaint reports as required
Assist with periodic audits and inspections
Support and attend CQC inspections
Produce reports, findings and action plans of audits and inspections
Assist in communicating shared learning of all adverse incidents and events
Record progress on practice CQC actions plans and present evidence to the Governance Committee
Support of the annual Data Protection and Security Toolkit return, regularly liaising with Leads as required
