Were looking for a collaborative and solution-focusedFacilities Site Managerto join our supportive team atThe Nook, our purpose-built hospice near Norwich. In this key role, youll help create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for children, families, staff, and visitors.
Youll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the building and grounds, helping us deliver high-quality care in a thoughtfully maintained space. This is a practical and varied role with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to our sustainability goals and service standards.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating ongoing maintenance and day-to-day facilities operations.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Overseeing hydrotherapy pool care and maintenance.
- Working with both in-house teams and external contractors.
- Supporting budget management and sustainability efforts.
- Building positive working relationships with colleagues and volunteers across the hospice.
No two days are the sameand your contribution will help ensure the hospice is a comfortable, safe, and respectful environment for everyone.
About You
Were looking for someone who brings:
- Relevant experience in Facilities Management (covering both hard and soft services).
- Qualifications such as NEBOSH, IWFM, Health & Safety, or Pool Management (or a willingness to work towards them).
- A practical and organised approach, with strong planning and communication skills.
- Experience working with and guiding teams or contractors.
- A values-driven mindset, with an understanding of working in sensitive and care-focused settings.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
