Job summary

* Internal job title - Clinical Student and Nursing Preceptor Coordinator *

*A Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential for this role*

Shift Pattern - Flexibility required to work some shifts to support students & preceptees.

An exciting opportunity has become available at EACH for the right person to support, coordinate and work closely with our students, including nursing, paramedics, Trainee Nurse associates and Nursing Apprenticeships and our preceptees.

You will need to be flexible to work across all 3 of our EACH hospices.

Main duties of the job

Are you:

  • Passionate about education and training and developing people to their best of their ability?
  • A Registered Nurse with the NMC?

Do you have:

  • Great communication skills and the ability to get the best out of people?
  • Knowledge & experience of mentorship and practice supervision?
  • A professional Qualification in Nursing (child branch or any other discipline)?

Main responsibilities of the role:

To support and coordinate students and preceptees, and be part of our grow your own philosophy, investing in our own staff to support and guide them to reach their full potential. To support clinically, but also with elements of their academic requirements.

Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.
