Volunteer Help at Home Service Support

East Anglia's Children's Hospice (EACH) are looking for committed and reliable volunteers to join our Help at Home service in Cambridgeshire. Caring for a seriously ill child or young person can put extra demands on a family and the aim of this service is to offer practical support within the families own homes.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for:

  • Reliable, committed and caring volunteers to undertake a variety of practical tasks.
  • These could include; 1:1 sibling support, DIY and gardening, cleaning and cooking, dog walking, shopping, picking up prescriptions, accompanying siblings to play activities and preparing them for school activities and anything else the family requires.
Please note you do not be required to do all of the above.

You will be matched with a family based on your skills, personality etc.

This role does not include nursing care tasks such as personal care, feeding, volunteers are not expected to carry out specialised tasks.

We require all volunteers to be aged 18 or above.
