Job summary

Harlington Care is a CQC registered provider delivering Respite & Domiciliary care in clients homes. We are looking for passionate Care Support Workers to join our dedicated team to provide the best quality homecare for our clients.

Main duties of the job

Purpose

1. Ensure that Care Support Workers deliver high quality and person centred services, providing respite for carers and increased independence for people with care needs, through a variety of approaches and means.

2. Ensure that client and carer needs and circumstances are appropriately assessed and reviewed and these are reflected in care plans and care delivery.

Assist manager to manage service delivery in the locality through:

  • undertaking referral/assessments with clients as appropriate
  • gathering, recording, communicating and regularly reviewing all client information required for safe and effective service delivery in accordance with policy and procedures
  • working in partnership with external agencies to ensure clients needs are met
  • identifying promptly any issues that require further investigation or represent a risk to the safe operations or reputation of the organisation and reporting these to a more senior staff member

Quality

Work with colleagues to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and quality assurance procedures.

Identify ways of improving the quality of service delivered by the organisation in response to the changing environment and demands of customers and work with colleagues to implement these.

You will assist manager by undertaking referrals & assessments, work in partnership with external agencies to ensure clients needs are met. Ensure that client and carer needs and circumstances are appropriately assessed and reviewed and these are reflected in care plans and care delivery.

Ensure that Care Support Workers deliver high quality and person-centred services, providing support for carers and increased independence for people with care needs, through a variety of approaches and means.

You will be expected to work as a Care Support Worker around your Senior Care Practitioner responsibilities, by arrangement with manager. Undertake any other duties as requested by the manager, including deputise for the Deputy Manager as appropriate in registered office.

Complete spot checks on Care Support Workers, feeding back findings to manager and complete client telephone reviews.

We offer a full training programme which includes personal development, supervision and on-going support for our team to ensure they can do the best job possible whilst learning and growing within their role.

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards level 3 in NVQ.
