Job Title:Resilience Phlebotomist
Main purpose of post:To provide resilience Phlebotomy service to all member
Practices within South Warwickshire.
Responsible to:Service lead, service clinical director
Hours of work:Zero hours
Shifts:08:00 - 18:00
Salary:£112.21per hour
Location:Across South Warwickshire GP Practices
Main duties of the job
To run a daily phlebotomy service for all patients booked into EMIS appointment book at the practice scheduled for the day.
o Ensuring Health & Safety legislation is adhered to at all times
o Ensuring each sample is clearly labelled and sent to the Path lab in a timely manner
o Ensuring all relevant paperwork has been completed
To maintain adequate stock levels in order to provide a phlebotomy service.
To ensure all patient information is entered accurately into computer system
Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care.
Ensure collection and maintenance of statistical information required for regular and ad hoc reports.
The post holder must be qualified as a phlebotomist or willing to undertake the necessary training.
The post holder must ensure their Hep B immunity is at a satisfactory level and inform SWGP of this.
The post holder must liaise closely with the nurses/HCA on duty.

Ability to work effectively in a team
Ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional manner
Ability to maintain consistent approach across all member practices
