AtBirmingham Hospice,
our patients are at the heart of everything we do. From our Inpatient Units to
our Living Well Centres and bereavement counselling services, we are here for
our community when they need us most.
We are excited to launch our
new24/7 Specialist Palliative Urgent Response (SPUR)service,
operating 24/7 with both day and night shifts available. This service will
respond to urgent palliative care needs from patients, families, and
professionals across Birmingham and Solihull.
As aClinical Specialist,
you will work autonomously and collaboratively to respond to urgent calls
within a two-hour timeframe. You will provide face-to-face clinical assessments
and interventions in patients homes, initiate referrals as appropriate, and
maintain accurate clinical records in line with legislation. The role also
includes supporting patients with prescribed and over-the-counter medications.

hours of 20:00 and 08:00.
During
these hours the clinical role will be to respond to urgent palliative
response visits within a 2-hour timeframe.
The

and visit patients presenting with a range of palliative, end-of-life and
