Job summary

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our Fundraising Department.

The successful candidate will be be pivotal in helping to grow the profile of the Hospice and will support the Fundraising Manager in the preparation, coordination and distribution of digital and printed publicity and marketing materials. You will support all aspects of the Hospice' PR, communications and marketing activity, whilst working with staff across all departments to maximise reach and impact and raise the profile of the Hospice.

We are located within Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre, on the top floor, with on site staff parking and easy access to local transport.

Main duties of the job

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contributing to a comprehensive PR planner

Working with Hospice departments to distribute internal and external communications.

Creating engaging press releases and other written copy to promote Hospice news and income generation activities.

Producing documents, posters/notices and event signage to be used Hospice wide.

Working alongside the other members of the Fundraising Team to develop a library of patient stories, liaising and communicating with the clinical teams and those who have experienced firsthand, Hospice services.

Promoting the Rossendale Hospice brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.

Creating a variety of materials including leaflets, posters and banners to assist all departments of the Hospice and promote the Hospice brand within the community.

Maintaining appropriate and consistent language and terminology across all platforms.

Working across the Hospice to provide support with the design and production of all literature, marketing materials and press releases, ensuring that all these display the Hospice brand and key messages.

Ensure that consent is captured for all participants and documents are stored in line with Hospice policy.

About us

Rossendale Hospice provides care to patients, families and carers at the Hospice or within the community, in the patient's own home.

We receive a minimal amount of statutory funding, with the remaining costs met by Fundraising, Legacies and donations.

The Fundraising Team compromises Fundraising Manager, Supporter Engagement/Fundraiser and Apprentice Fundraiser.

We are all very passionate about the Hospice and the services and support we offer to the people in the Rossendale Community.
