Job summary
To supplement our permanent housekeeping team,
our team of bank staff provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in
staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences.
We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic
and proactive Bank Housekeeper to provide operational cover within the hospice,
as and when required, as part of our Facilities team.
We are looking for an experienced housekeeper with high personal
standards and a commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice. You must
be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication
skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Experience of
working in a clinical environment would be desirable but not essential as
training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
This role supports the smooth running of our housekeeping team
across all areas of the hospice, especially during staff absences, leave, or
busy periods. The post holder will carry out a range of cleaning and domestic
tasks, helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout
the hospice. This includes specialised cleaning in areas like treatment rooms
and the pharmacy, as well as looking after cleaning equipment

support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their
families, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care of patients'
physical needs, but we also consider their emotional, spiritual, and social
needs too; and we support families and close friends, both during illness and
in bereavement.
