Job summary
Bolton Hospice's
consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff, provide
expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting
illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care
of patients' physical needs, we consider their emotional, spiritual and social
needs too. And we support families and close friends, both during illness and
in bereavement.
We are currently seeking to recruit an
enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to work within the Inpatient
Unit at Bolton Hospice. This will be an exciting and rewarding opportunity for
anyone wishing to further develop their nursing skills and knowledge within
specialist palliative care.
Salary £29,970
- £32,324 WTE
Pay Award Pending
(Unsocial hours enhancements paid in addition to basic salary)
23 - 37.5 hours per week - Flexible dependent on Applicants
The role covers a 24 hour, 7 day service and
will therefore include weekends and rotation to night duty.
Long day shifts and night shifts
would be expected.
Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary
team, you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands-on,
person-centred care. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service
for our patients and their families and carers, through a collaborative team
approach. As Staff Nurse, you will be
responsible for advising and supporting staff, therefore you will need to able
to demonstrate a high level of competence in the specialty.
To apply, you must be a Registered General Nurse, who is
enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for specialist palliative and end of
life care. A recognised post-registration palliative care qualification is
desirable, although you will be fully supported in the role if you have limited
or no experience with the specialty. You will have access to a range of
training and development opportunities and be welcomed as a valued member of an
experienced and supportive team.
