Job summary
The Centre
Surgery, Hinckley are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, part-time, to cover at least Monday and Fridays, to work as a permanent integral member of our clinical team.
We are looking for
someone who has the ability and clinical skills to work autonomously but also
to work alongside other members of the team.
You will also
need to be an independent nurse prescriber and be prepared to work extended
hours as required.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder
will be competent in practice using their expert clinical knowledge and skills.
They will have the freedom and authority to act and make autonomous decisions
in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients and be able to
independently prescribe within the scope of the role.
The post-holder
will respond to medical problems presented by patients including history
taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where
appropriate. You will be required to maintain patient clinical records to high
standard and safeguard confidentiality and undertake clinically related
administration.
You will be
expected to be able to develop close, long-term relationships with patients and
work in partnership with them to achieve optimum health.
About us
Centre Surgery in Hinckley, Leicestershire has a patient
population of approximately 5,500 patients and is part of Hinckley Central
PCN. The team consists of 3 Salaried
GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and a
Pharmacist. The surgery is also
supported by a number of PCN ARRS staff.
We provide safe and effective care for all our patients. The
practice maintains a high QOF achievement and we score well in the GP Patient
Survey.
Centre Surgery is managed on an APMS contract which is held
by a local Federation - Hinckley &
Bosworth Medical Alliance Ltd.
