Job summary
To deliver a Clinical Pharmacy Service to our member GP Practices defined within Primary Care Network geographical locations, as part of an established PCN Pharmacy Team.
You will be working for an established GP Federation, which supports 3 Primary Care Networks incorporating 12 GP Practices, that is actively recruiting clinical pharmacists to add to the already successful Clinical Pharmacist team in place. You will be working across Hinckley and Bosworth, and be part of a successful Federation and Primary Care Network.
Relevant experience of service delivery within the NHS, working in, or closely with, general practice. Involving & empowering a range of clinical professionals to make healthcare services more cost effective & better quality, excellent influencing and relationship skills with colleagues
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- An ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- An ability to engage effectively, commanding respect from a wide range of stakeholders including clinicians, patients and the public.
- It is anticipated that the level of qualification held may vary according to the level of position and the components of the role being carried out
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in pharmacy, as demonstrated within a practice portfolio
- Member of or working towards (through foundation) RPS Faculty membership, Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
- Holds a prescribing qualification (desirable)
- May hold or be working towards a postgraduate pharmacy qualification
- Has an awareness of the breadth of common acute and long term conditions.
About us
You will be working within a successful GP Federation comprising 12 member practices across the Hinckley and Bosworth locality.
We already have an established team of 14 Pharmacists, supported by 3 Senior Pharmacists, that we are looking to expand. We have structures in place to support Pharmacists with training and development, and have created a network to enable our Pharmacists to share learning and identified good practice across the team.
We see a real potential to be actively involved in the care of patients beyond the traditional surgery front door with a real drive, commitment, passion, determination and ambition for the future, ensuring that the patients of Hinckley & Bosworth can access high quality, responsive integrated care.
