Position:          Director of HR

Salary:             £65,000 per annum

Contract:         Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (A minimum of 30 hours per week would also be considered)

We are delighted to introduce new services, including Respite, Convalescent Rehabilitation, and Symptom Management, which reflect the increasing demand for these much-needed offerings, such as the much-valued return of Respite Care. Additionally, our Wellbeing services will be enhanced to provide a comprehensive programme of activities and therapies, supporting clients across all areas of our care.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of HR to lead our people processes and strategies. This is a newly created role, reflecting our commitment to fostering a vibrant, resilient, and supportive workplace culture.

As the Director of HR, you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with our mission and growth objectives.
• Lead on recruitment, retention, and staff development initiatives, ensuring we attract and nurture exceptional talent.
• Promote a culture of inclusivity, well-being, and continuous learning.
• Oversee HR policies and practices to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with our values.
• Partner with leadership to drive organisational change, supporting our evolution into the future.

Person Specification

Qualifications Skills Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent related experience
• Significant experience of leading organisations, senior managers and teams through employee relations, organisational change, developing cultures and embedding values
• Demonstrable success in handling difficult situations
• Experience of line managing a small team
• Success in coaching Senior Leaders and managers on various HR matters

Desirable

• CIPD qualified
• Experience of leading on operational and strategic HR functions for an organisation within a related sector (e.g. Charity, Health and Social Care, Education)
