Job summary

To be responsible for driving the mobile resources vehicle across the Yorkshire region.

To be an ambassador of Saint Catherines Hospice out in the community, liaising with the public and providing resources and information on our services.

Main duties of the job

The role of Mobile Resource Driver is not just about driving from A to B, it’s about providing valuable resources out in the community, whether this is talking to the public about the services of Saint Catherine’s Hospice, transporting our Community Care teams to their locations or supporting at our Fundraising Events, this role is varied and great for someone to really make their own.

We are dedicated to enhancing the care we provide out in the community and have secured a new Mobile Resources Vehicle which needs a proactive and engaging member of the team to drive it. 

If you have a valid driver’s licence that allows you to drive up to 3.5 tonnes, have a great personality and natural ability to provide outstanding customer service, whilst maintaining a clean, safe and tidy mobile resource then we would love to hear from you! 

The role of Mobile Resource Driver is not just about driving from A to B, it’s about providing valuable resources out in the community, whether this is talking to the public about the services of Saint Catherine’s Hospice, transporting our Community Care teams to their locations or supporting at our Fundraising Events, this role is varied and great for someone to really make their own.

Please note that this role involves regular weekend working.

As part of the role, you will:

  • Be responsible for driving the mobile resources vehicle across the Yorkshire region.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming image of Saint Catherine’s Hospice, liaising with the public and providing resources and information on our services.
  • Safely set up and disassemble the vehicle whilst on location.
  • Ensure the vehicle is safe and complies with roadworthiness at all times.

Qualifications Skills Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Hold a current and valid Driving Licence, up to 3.5 tonnes, with an acceptable driving record
  • Level 2 qualification in English
  • Experience of driving a range of vehicles
  • Skill and expertise to drive a vehicle safely and ensure that all safety requirements are met

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working within a mobile role
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to work towards
