1 x Retail Area Manager - Ryedale & East Riding

(to cover Bridlington, Driffield, Malton, Pickering, Helmsley)

1 x Retail Area Manager - Scarborough, Whitby & Filey

Our Executive Team, led by the CEO who joined Saint Catherine’s Hospice in March 2023, have spent a considerable amount of time looking at how we as a Hospice are fit for the future. Our main commitment is and always will be, providing the best possible care and quality of life for those with life limiting illnesses. We are starting the year with a new approach in how we are achieving our goals and ultimately enhancing the services we provide. Therefore, in the run up to our 40th year we are excited to be advertising a number of roles to join our growing team.

The Role

In this newly created role, you will:

  • Be responsible for managing a set amount of Saint Catherine’s retail shops and any new shops as they open.
  • Support the growth and development of our retail division and assist in implementing Saint Catherine’s short term and longterm retail strategy.
  • Offer line management and support to Shop Managers, empowering them to lead their teams effectively and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Foster a culture of appreciation and engagement among volunteers, recognizing their vital role in our charitable endeavours.

We are searching for a results-driven and experienced individual looking for an exciting challenge, someone who is passionate about developing people and proactively exceeding set targets and goals. 

About You

As an Area Retail Manager you will:

  • Have experience within retail management and a track record of achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Strong managerial and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, mentor and motivate Shop Managers and volunteers.
  • Have the ability to identify opportunities for growth, implementing effective systems and adapting to changing retail landscapes.
  • Have a genuine commitment to understanding the impact on successful retail operations to the care that we provide.

  • Substantial retail management experience, including multi-site shop experience.
