Provide clinical and professional leadership for integrated health and social care
models and services.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of strategies and structures
which ensure the highest standards of care, clinical practice, and interagency
working for public health visiting services within Barnardos.

Job Purpose
The Strategic Lead for Health Visiting and School Nursing 0-25 will work as part of
a small support team of expert specialist health professionals to support the
Director of Public Health and Strategic Programme Delivery Leads with their
development and delivery of several programmes of work to implement the Health
Strategy.
This forms part of the Charitys ambition of integrated childrens health and social
care services, and to increase the reach of health and wellbeing services and
reduce health inequalities.

The role requires overall understanding and extensive clinical experience in
delivering early years and integrated child and family health alongside children and
young people (CYP) mental health support services, emerging service options,
knowledge of demand, and leading practice.
With a focus on health visiting, adolescence and care leavers, the range and scope
of services will include both face to face and digital delivery methods in place and
under development.
The post holder will ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist
health visiting interventions for children, young people, and their families/carers.
They will support the development of health visiting and school age children
services on the design and delivery of modernisation and service change across
care groups, specialisms, and care settings.
This role will also be required to provide occasional help and expertise to childrens
service colleagues as a specialism expert.
