Job summary

Do you want to be part of shaping an innovative Keyworker support service for children and young people in St Helens? Can you support and achieve transformational change for children, young people with a learning disability autism or both?

Each young person referred to the service will have an named assigned Keyworker. The team will provide expert planning, support navigation and advocacy to the young person and their family at a level appropriate to the person's needs. A step up and step down process will ensure young people receive when the right level of they need it and can re access their key worker as required.

Main duties of the job

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people navigate services and support? Do you have experience of working with young people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health, experience of working in social care, health or education setting, experience of multi - agency working / partnership working, experience of evidence of report writing and case management, if you do, these exciting new opportunitiesmay be for you.

  • To take responsibility for the more complex cases/situations presenting within the service.

For Resources

  • To be responsible for equipment/resources linked to service delivery.
  • To be responsible for case note recording, contributing to report writing and producing and keeping management information.

  • Supervision* of staff, students or volunteers may be expected
  • *allocating work, day to day supervision and support

For Health and Safety

  • To promote, monitor and maintain health safety and security in the working environment

  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to service aims
  • A relevant qualification, at NVQ level 4/5, may meet the above knowledge requirements-see programme content for details.
